Davis is in Region 1 of the Utah High School Cycling League (There are 6 Regions in Utah). There were over 7,400 racers in Utah in 2024! Please refer to Utahmtb.org

There are 15 teams in Region 1 for the 2025 season: Bonneville, Box Elder Comp, Davis, Fremont, Green Canyon, Logan, Mountain Crest, Ogden, Park City, Ridgeline, Roy, Sky View, St. Joseph Catholic, Weber, and Westfield.

We do not receive any funding from the school district so all of our needs have to be met by parent volunteers and community sponsors or individual donations.  If you or the company you work for would be interested in donating, please send an email to dhsmtb@gmail.com and we will send you a sponsor flier.  The DHSMTB is a non-profit 501 c(3). Tax forms can be provided.

Mission

The mission of the Davis High School Mountain Bike Team is to follow the  5- core  principals of the league (fun, inclusivity, equity, respect, and community) while also teaching the students how to be active participants in outdoor activities, academics, and community involvement.

  • We cheer each other on, lift each other up, and pitch in when our team members need our help.

  • We support each other through the many emotions that come with mountain biking including excitement, nervousness, confidence, anticipation, exhaustion, exhilaration, disappointment, and joy.

  • We listen and learn from our coaches.
  • We develop healthy habits for our mental and physical wellbeing.
  • We are inspired by the mountain bike community where every rider matters.

S – Safety

  • We take responsibility for maintaining our bikes.
  • We ride trails and follow routes within our ability.
  • We maintain good nutrition/hydration and dress appropriately for each ride.
